Who is responsible

Leo, an independent publisher. Questions, requests and complaints go to takeallusername@gmail.com, and are answered by a person.

What is collected on this site

Meta Pixel. This site runs Meta's advertising pixel. It records that a page was viewed, how far down the page you scrolled, which sections you reached, whether you pressed play on the video, whether you opened a question, whether you started checkout, and whether a purchase completed. It sets a first-party cookie so those actions can be connected to a single visit. This data goes to Meta Platforms, Inc., who use it to report on and target advertising. It is used to work out which advertisements are worth paying for.

Vercel Analytics. Aggregate traffic counts — how many people saw a page, roughly where from. No cookies and no individual profiles.

Browser storage. One value, leo:checkout-open, a timestamp written when you open checkout so that a completed purchase is counted once rather than every time the confirmation page is loaded. It stays in your browser and is cleared once used.

The video. The video on the front page is embedded through youtube-nocookie.com and nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. If you never press play, YouTube receives nothing. If you do, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that playback.

What happens when you buy

Checkout is operated by Payhip Ltd, and payment is processed by PayPal. You give them your email address and your payment details directly. Card and PayPal account details never reach this site and are never seen by us.

From Payhip we receive your email address and the details of your order, which is how the book is delivered and how a refund can be issued. That record is kept for as long as it is needed for accounting and refunds. Payhip and PayPal each publish their own privacy policies, which govern what they hold.

What is never done

Your email address is not sold, rented, or passed to anyone for marketing. There is no mailing list on this site and buying the book does not subscribe you to anything.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and most browsers have a setting that blocks tracking of this kind outright. Meta lets you change what it uses your activity for in its own ad settings. Blocking any of it will not stop you buying or reading the book.

To ask what is held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, email takeallusername@gmail.com. Say which email address you used at checkout. This is handled directly rather than through a form.

Age

This book is written for adults and is not directed at children. Nothing here is knowingly collected from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no archive; the version on this page is the one that applies.
